A few days ago we decided to visit one of the women who is a
beneficiary of the Wholesome Life Kitchen and Social Center. She is very sick
and cannot come to take her meal, so everyday one of us brings it to her
apartment. After our last such delivery, grandma Velichka wrote us a letter to
thank us for the care that we extend to her. She invited us to her home for a
visit, and of course we agreed. She welcomed her in her small place, and
started telling us how grateful she is for the financial help that we were able
to provide for her medicine. She also asked us to pray for her and for her
health condition.
She shared with us that when she was able to walk, she would go
to church and pray for God there, but recently she has been stuck in bed and cannot
enjoy going to church and meeting other believers. We encouraged her that we
would visit her often, and one day we will do an improvised church service with
songs, prayers and sharing from the Word of God. This really touched her heart
and she expressed her eagerness for this to happen really soon. Before we left,
we hug the elderly woman and prayed to God for His protection in her life. I
hope that all of you, who are reading this article, will say a word of pray for
Velichka!
