When I was a child, I liked to play with my dolls. In the beginning I imagined I was their mother and later on I would create whole theatrical performances. When I got to my teenage years, my dolls became only an accessory to my room just reminding me of my childhood... The kids on our days don't play with dolls - they prefer the computer world where the games are much more dynamic and filled with adrenaline. Maybe this is the reason our kids grow faster... And I realize I am from a different generation and from a different time when girls liked to play with dolls and there were no computers...
Why am I sharing all this... Because I want to tell you about my last visit to the Nezabravka Home for abandoned children. I accompanied a group of American college students who were in Bulgaria and this was their first missionary trip. My joy was so great when I saw these young ministers to pull out of their bags Muppet dolls. They had prepared a whole show for the kids. It was amazing - a lot of fun: ) The students Muppets sang and danced and shared about God and the wonderful things He does. The children watched with eyes wide open. Later they were given the chance to play with the Muppets themselves. It was a great experience and it brought me back to my childhood years. These are the years when you dream of good things and you really believe that they will come though. I hope the children in this Home will have a better future and will find comfort and hope in the love of our heavenly Father.
